Cheerleading Conference Huntley's cheerleaders are a- mong the more than 3(K) high school and college choorleaders from 70 different schools enrolled for each of tho throe on<>-weok ses¬ sions to be held at the Illinois State University Campus. The stu¬ dents, and sponsors, pay all costs of tho school while the Univci-sity provides tho facilities and admin¬ istrative supervision. This ninth annual summer cheerleaders sch¬ ool started Monday. June 11. Sportsmanship and crowd con¬ trol are emphasized throughout tho instruction as well as cheor- Irading techniques, pep rallies, be¬ ginning stunts and tumbling, and noxolty yells and songs. Lions Team Lose The Huntley Lions dropix'd thore 1st baseball game Sunday to Kirkland by a 4 to 5 score. Dennis Enstrom pitcher for Hunt¬ ley held Kirkland to only 5 hits. he gave up 5 base on balls, struck out 9. He pitched for 6 1/3 enn- ings. Weber relief pitcher for 62/3 innings gave up 1 hit. 1 base on balls, and struck out one. Kirklands pitcher Walker allow¬ ed Huntley only 4 hits they wore singl(\s to Rasmus.sen. B.
