High Tea For Homemakers
The Coral Unit of McHenry County Home Extension Assoc. (HEA) held "High Tea" for its April meeting 4:00 PM at the home of Joyce Liput, Thurs., April 6. Ten members and 3 guest were present. Everyone enjoyed the great taste and good times at Homemakers.
After the regular business meeting, Nancy Moore, Extension Advisor, who was one of the unit's guests, gave the meeting's lesson. It was entitled "Water Quality and The Future Challenge". Water is the "indispensable nutrient". No human being can live for more than a few days without it.
Safe drinking water is in a limited supply. Therefore, how can we prevent wasteful use of water and show good practice to preserve water quality? Think seriously about this please.
The Coral Unit wishes to thank Nancy Moore for the information she gave to us at the meeting and for her making us even more aware of a very serious problem—the scarcity and quality of water.
Coral Unit's next meeting will be held at 7:00 pm at the Huntley home of Beth Ferris on May 4th. If you'd like to come and visit with us or would like some information on HEA, please contact Beverly King at 815-568-8665 or Barb Schmidt at 815-923-4482. Hope to see you there.
