Huntley High Scliool Holds Multi-Year Class Reunion

Huntley High School graduates from 1924-1955 got together Saturday, September 21, 1996 at Bowl-Hi Banquet Room to meet their friends some of whom they hadn't seen since graduation.
Around the 1st of June, Huntley High graduates received a letter of an impending class reunion master minded by a 1951 graduate, Ted Hennegan.
Ted was the "self-appointed" committee chairperson. He thought it would be great to have another reunion like they had 5 years ago with 1948-1952 in attendance. Word got around and interest was so astronomical that a reunion from the old Main Street High School, which is now demolished, was held with classes from 1924-1955 invited.
Ted's class motto was "Small deeds done are better than great deeds planned." And great it was with over 200 in attendance, (135 graduates). All the bases were covered.
On August 29th all the reunion attendees received another letter

PTA Fund Raiser

Huntley Elementary and Middle Schools will be kicking off their annual Fall Fundraiser on Friday, September 27th, with 3 assembly programs.
The PTA, which sponsors this event, has chosen the Imperial Crown Marketing Company once again this year due to its past success. School children will be selling a wide assortment of candies, food items, wrapping

Smokey's Bar & Grill Logo Contest
Smokey's on Main Street is now open for business. They are sponsoring a logo contest for their newly remodeled Bar & Grill.
Some interesting items will be awarded for the best logo. Deadline for entries is October 1st. Voting may be on location and prizes awarded on or about October 15th.
Huntley Crafters Featured at Factory Shops Fall Craft Show This Weekend
Several Huntley crafters are featured at the Huntley Factory Shops Fall Craft Show. Sharon Berg displays welcome signs, saying hearts, rocking horses, apple baskets, shelf items and seasonal wood items. Jeannette Choin will show fabric holiday door or wall hangings, reversible vests for children and women, and doll clothes. Wendi Lesniak and Cris McGinley will show tole painted wood including dolls, cats, dogs and household items; fabric crafts including dolls, cats, horses, rabbits and other critters; and small clay cats and rabbits. Jennifer Ward presents baby items.
Approximately 150 quality crafters and 65 outlet stores will satisfy the most avid shopper at The Huntley Factory Shops Fall Craft Show, Sept. 27, 10am-5pm, Sept. 28, 10am-5pm, and Sept. 29, llam-4pm. The Huntley
