At Commencement, May 30, 1991, the Joan Melahn Scholarships were presented to Sarah Mercer and Joseph Bernat.
Sarah, a 1990 Illini Girl Stater, left August 17th for Eastern Illinois University at Charleston,4o begin her freshman year. She will major
in Elementary Education.
Joe, who attended Illini Boys State in 1990, left August 21 for Marquette University in Milwaukee to begin his freshman year. He will major in Engineering.
In July, the Lioness Club awarded three more scholar¬ ships. The recipients are
Nancy Kohley, Kimberly Reed and Chad Warrington.
Nancy left August 2l8t for her junior year at Northern Illinois Univesity, DeKalb, majoring in Mathematics Education.
Kim left August 26th for Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, where as a junior she
Park District Hosts Pet Show

Twelve Huntley kids and pets entered the Park District Pet Show on Friday, August 16th. Large or small. Lassie-look-alike or Pound Puppie, they all came away blue ribbon winners.

Chad left^August 18th for Bradley iJniversity, Peoria, where he will be a senior
majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

Local dairy farmer Tom Kohley wed Becky Kunde last weekend. This creative bridal couple decided to take a hay rack ride to the reception with appropriately enough, milk cartons tied to the back.
