Dr. Barry Orton, a telecommuni¬ cations professor from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, is the expert hired by the commission for consultation. Area residents who may have a problem with their cable television service, or are interested in what the commission is doing, should attend. Newly Opened Tip Top Cafe Welcomes Patrons Ziya Senturk and Bill Lopez (owners of the nearby Country Junction Restaurant), along with Agim Toska, have just opened the Tip Top Cafe on the Square in Woodstock. Since the filming of "Groundhog Day" in Woodstock, folks have been talking about the Tip Top Cafe, which was featured in the movie. Now you can enjoy a nice assortment of tasty items in the reataurant where Bill Murray ate each day in the movie. The menu features sandwiches, pizza, ice cream, soda & beer. Huntley Chamber Declares Golf Outing Huge Success, Makes Future Plans By Cathy DeQuaker Huntley Area Chamber of The Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry would like to thank all those who participated and volunteered their time and donations for the 1993 Golf Outing held on July 30 at Pinecrest Country Club. Thanks to: Wade Runge. Dr. William Awe, Don Pietschmann, Bob Traxler, Steve DeQuaker, Pat Bieszki, Deborah Merhaut, Laurie Runge, Tricia Clancy, 1993 Miss Huntley Jennifer Lange and first runner-up Shannon Raby. Thank you to Sheets Surveying for the use of stakes for the hole sponsors; Ace Hardware, B&K Power Equipment, Country Junction Restaurant, Crystal Lake Country Club, Empress River Boat Casino, Essency Desktop Creations, GYMerica, Holiday Inn-Elgin, Huntley Commerce & Industry Executive Director Chiropractic and Massage Therapy. Jim M'Lady Oldsmobile/Izuzu/Nissan of Crystal Lake sponsored our hole-in-one prize. Ron Leathers of Merrill Lynch sponsored the door prize. Legat Architects sponsored the golf balls. Wade Runge of Bunge & Associates sponsored the golf tees. Tom Pinkowski of Commonwealth Edison was the lucky winner of our door prize, an autographed Michael Jordon basketball. Tentative plans are in the making for a sidewalk sale, arts & crafts fair and farmer's market in Sept. or Oct. during Chamber of Commerce week. The Chamber is seeking input from retailers to see if there is a desire for this type of event. If you are a retailer or crafter and would like to participate, please contact the Chamber at 669-0166. The Chamber would like to welcome a new business in town, Walk-In Pantry. Jim Doyle, owner, established the convenience store and is open for business. The Walk-In Pantry is located on Rt. 47, approximately 1/4 mile south of Algonquin Rd. Also, welcome to Merrill Lynch, Fast Signs and Cookie Sntiith. The next Business After Hours and Grand Opening will be held at Walsh Chiropractic Center, 10696 N. Rt. 47, on Friday, Aug. 20, at 6pm. Hors'doeurves and beverages will be served. If you would like to attend, contact the Chamber office by Aug. 16. The Board of Directors has recently adopted an organiza¬ tional chart for the Chamber. The chart consists of four divisions on which the Chamber will be structured: Business & Economic Development, Public Relations, Internal Affairs and Government Affairs. Each division has several committees under them. If anyone is interested in being on a committee, contact the Chamber for details. Division chairpersons are: Government Affairs-Thomas Baker, former State's Attorney for McHenry County; Public Relations-Pat Bieszki, owner of Northwest Mobile Fitness and the Fitness Connection; and Internal Affairs-Wade Runge of Bunge & 'Assoc.
