Mr. Lewis has proven by actual demonstration that he possesses these requisite qualifications in a pre-eminent degree. He has lived in Clay county all his lite and haa en¬ joyed tbe confidence and esteem of all who know him. His life and con¬ duct has been such that no suspicion ot wrong doing has ever been attrib¬ uted to him.
