Tho third test well of the loca) oil and gas company began drilling on the John Snyder farm. Just sough, east ot Flora, on last Friday and good progress is being made, a depth ot about 300 feet having been reached.
Formationa seem quite different from the other irells and the drilling wlll be %atched with Interest.

TOUTHFCL BURGLARS
Rolla Cralie, 14, and Leslie Low¬ rey, 17, wore arrested at Carlyle on Tueaday, baving in their possessloii, among otber things two new rifles. They admitted that the rifles were stolen in Flora on the night ot Jii^y Fourth.
Inauiry disclosed that the rifles belonged to James & Lindsey. ot tbls olty. though they had: not discovered their loss until the fact was telephon¬ ed from Carlyle and Inquiry was made.
