A recent ruling of the Post Offio*^ I.Department renders it imperative ^thar newspapers should clean up their delinqnent subscripdon listp. ,^hile the Journal carries as small riist of delinquents as any, yet in common with with all newspapers it has a few. A glance at the date line attached to your name at the top of the front page or on the wrap¬ per of this issue, will show just how you stand on our books. It would I cost us fifty dollars casli and an im¬ mense amount of hard work to send a statement to each subscriber. vV ill ou not please ascertain just how you stand and make remittance to this offipe for a'l amount sufficent to cover all delinquencies.
