The annnal meeting of the Cliiy County Bankers Association waa held la ttae mesaanine room ot the First National Bank in Flora last Friday.

Atter disposing of preliminary butiness the announcement was made by President Pliley that Flora baa been selected for the annual conTen- tion of Oroup 9, composed of bankers in eighteen counties of Southern Ilii- Bois, to be held Wednesday, May SSrd. An ezecutlTe committee was named to proride for thv entertain¬ ment of all Tisttlng bankers on that day.
A number of prominent bankers trom other sections will be present on that date and make addresses.
SEVEN HIGH SCHOOL INSTRUC¬ TORS HAVB BBEN EMPLOYED
The members of tbe H. S. T. H. S. Board of Education have re-employ-> ed the following teachers for the term ot 1923-1924: Prof. Rex W. Dale, principal; H. L. Fogler, manual train¬ ing; Miss Josephine Hoover, General lastructor; Mrs. May Oibson, Com¬ meroial department; Mlss Ina White¬ ford, History; Misa Marcia Stewart, Bnslish. Miss Mary Stinson, who is a new teacher from Mt. Vernon, Ind., Will teach English.
The following teachers have been elected, but so tar have not accepted: B. O. Cully, Mathematic and Athletic; Miaa Ellice Prentice, Latin.
The following teachers have de¬ cided not to return: M. 8. Clark, the JUisaee Bva Conway, Margaret BeU, Mabel Coz.

WnMJOOX REUNION
Mr. and Mrs. Oeo. W. Wilcox had their children with them last Sunday. The first time the entire family bad been together under the parental roof for ten years. All greatly en¬ joyed the occasion and the oppor¬ tunity of being togetber. At the, noon hour a sumptuous dinner was served by the motber, the^klad that only mother's know bow to prepare, ot wblch all did ample justice.
Those present with Mr .and Mrs. Wilcos were: Rigr Wilcox, of Heber Springs, Ark.; Mr .and Hrs. Ben Miller and daughter, of Maro, 111.; Mr .and Mrs. O. L. Cramer and three children and Mr and Mrs. Ben Logan and son of this city.
Mrs. Mayme, Shackman died at 11:30 a. m. Saturday, April 28, 192S, at Wasblngton bospital tn Chicago, of complications, at the age of 38 years. Remains arrived at 2:67 o'clock on the Illinois Central and were Uken to Biscb A Son's Mortuary. Funeral services at 8:30 o'clock this morning at the residence, 641 North Fourth street add at 9 o'clock at Sacred Heart Catholic church, Rev. Father Merscher, pastor of the church offi¬ ciating. Intennent in Calvary oem¬ etery.
Decedent is survived by busband, M. J. Shackman: 2 daughtei's. Dor othy and Lucille; two sons, Bernarde and Robert; mother, Mra. Joaeph Sager; sister, Mrs. Edward Babbs.— Springfield, Illinois State Jour¬ nal Monday, April 30.

Tuesday last Sher/iff Cogswell re¬ ceived notice from the sheriff of Marion county to arrest and hold for his arrival a Mlss McKInney, sixteen years of age. a daughter ot James McKInney, formerly of Flora, but now of Centralia.
Sheriff CogsweU reached Flora about ten o'clocit and took tbe young lady in charge and held her until the Marion eounty sheriff arrived about 2 p. m. and took-her to Salem.
Tbe young lady, we are informed, is charged with highway robbery and will have a preliminary ' bearing at Salem this week .
NBW SIDING JFOR HARD ROAD 'WORK.
B. A. Furguson, ot Springfield, and R. L. Hamme of St. Louis, B. A O. officials, together with the hard road contractor from Edwardsville, were here Monday, arranging'for a new siding for tbe hard road work east of Flora .

Last Sunday's attendance at the six Flora churches was a record breaker, totaling 1132, divided as follows: Christian 382, M. E. 812, U. B. 139, BapUst 136, Presbyterian 92, M. E. South 71.

The monthly social of the Booater class of the Christian Sunday sehool last Friday night waa well attended by the members and tbeir wlvea and a fine time enjoyed, with a delicious supper.
CONVENTION IN PLORA NBXT YEAR
Rev. O. W. Zink has retnrned from the Sou. 111. convention of Christian churches at Benton. The meeting will be held at Flora next year.
