A large barn on the farm of Uobert Gray, 4,'j miles northwest of Klora, was struck by ligliting last Monday morning and was totally de.stroyed. Miss Anna Whlppo and Dr. VV. N. Holaday were married Thursday eve¬ ning, October '2'>. al (i o'clock at the Presbyterian par.sonage In East St. Louis, Rev. W. K. Edwards perform¬ ing llie ceremony.
The bride was formerly a nurse In the Bethsada Home In St. Louis, but most of the piisl eigiit years slie has made lier home in Flora with Mr. and Mrs. Ilenry Denbow. She is an accom¬ plished yoiing lady and loved by all who knew her.
The groom is one of Flora's prom¬ ising young professional m"n.

Dr. Iloladay Is the second son ofthe lale I. N. Iloladay, a former sherilT of this county, and later a resident of this city until lusdealh. The widow, and mother, lives at the corner of Fourth and Locust Sts.
